Applying for Jobs Already?

The first two months of my internship have gone so well. I am finally becoming very comfortable in my job which is refreshing. I spend my day goofing off in the park, talking to people, and spreading conservation messages. It is so perfect! My co-workers are what make the experience so great. The twenty-nine of us are becoming a family. Each person offers something completely different to the team, and working with each other keeps every day fresh.

Here is a list of fun things that have happened since I have been here:

  1. I watched a hawk snatch a small rabbit in front of guests at one of our locations. It was awesome!
  2. My roommate celebrated his 25th birthday and we ate at Be Our Guest
  3. I found a friend that is a female version of me. We literally like the same exact things
  4. My dad and sister came to visit me
  5. My old counselor friend visited me
  6. I started playing sorcerers
  7. I have become a Senior Wilderness Explorer 3 times
  8. I have tracked a bucket, a pencil, and a piece of watermelon at the LION tracking badge
  9. We had our first team builder at Fort Wilderness, and I learned I am a horse whisperer
  10. I have not thrown up on the tea cups yet
  11. I made a toad abode at the leap forward event at Animal Kingdom, and I was selected by a friend for a magical moment were I got a free RPW pin and a Bontebok pregnancy test
I have received four Guest Service Fanatic cards! Here is one:

I also began applying for more internships...again. I have applied for the Conservation Education Specialist and Instructor internships, the Animal, Sciences, and Environment Education LOB internship, The Biotech internship, the Plant Sciences internship, the Entomology internship, and some Alumni only internship. So far, I have had the initial phone screen for the Alumni only, and I have submitted my questionnaires for the Animal Programs internships. Fingers crossed! I am hoping for Specialist at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I really need to write more posts, but time flies down here. It seems like I was going through Traditions yesterday.
